Training Services
The Happy Tails’ goal: Teach dog owners how to establish successful communication and create a lifelong bond with their canine family member(s).
Training services are available for puppies, adolescent dogs, and adult dogs. We offer training for dogs with little or no prior training as well as adult dogs in need of a "refresher" course.
Basic obedience: cues including focus, sit, down, stay, come, walk nice on leash/heel, and Leave it!
Puppy training: introduction to basic cues, puppy socialization, and address behavior issues including nipping, chewing, house training, and jumping up.
Behavior Modification: session(s) address behavior issues including: jumping up, housetraining, chewing, digging, barking, "counter-surfing" and reactive behavior while on leash.In Home Training Services
The content of the training course is determined by the goals and training needs specific to you and your dog. Learning takes place in your dog's comfort zone and you and your dog set the pace of the lessons. Our in home service allows flexible scheduling to accommodate your busy lifestyle.
Rate: $50 per hour*
Minimum visit fee: $50.00*
*Subject to additional fees for multi-dog households and travel distance greater than 15 miles from the trainer’s home.
Happy Tails Dog Training provides service in the greater Grand Rapids area including but not limited to: Caledonia, Kentwood, Gaines Township, Cascade, Ada, Hudsonville, Jenison, Grandville, Wyoming, and other nearby communities.
